Overview / About the Lab

The AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation, and Application) Laboratory is being established in engineering institutions across India to enhance students' creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities through hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. The AICTE IDEA Lab at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering is a central hub for innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning. Established under the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) initiative, this lab fosters design thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical skill development among students and faculty.

VISION

To establish a Centre of Excellence in STEM and Management education in India that empowers youth with innovation, research, and problem-solving skills. It seeks to align with national development missions such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Digital India, and Make in India, while also contributing meaningfully to India’s progress toward achieving the Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

MISSION

• Build a dynamic innovation ecosystem to develop indigenous solutions for local and national challenges.
• Promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth through modern infrastructure, tools, and mentorship.
• Bridge the gap between academia and industry by nurturing practical skills and facilitating interdisciplinary R&D.
• Encourage climate-conscious design, green technologies, and smart urban solutions in engineering innovations.
• Instill ethical values, sustainability awareness, and a strong sense of national responsibility in students.
