Key Infrastructure & Equipment

Facilities Available – 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, CNC Machines, PCB Prototyping, IoT Dev Kits, Embedded Systems Lab, Robotics Kits, Electronics Workstations, Mechanical Fabrication, CAD/CAM Software, High-Speed Internet and a Seminar & Training Hall.

• Laser Cutter – Precision laser cutting for enclosures, stencils and design prototypes.
• PCB Milling Machine – In-house PCB fabrication and rework for embedded and IoT prototypes.
• Vinyl Cutter – Vinyl/sticker cutting for prototype labelling and branding.
• 3D Printer (Bambu X1-C) – Rapid prototyping of student and faculty design concepts.
• IoT Dev Kits (5) – Hands-on IoT and embedded programming boards for prototyping. It includes DHT11, Ultrasonic sensor, PIR, Infra-red, Touch, GPS, GSM, LORA modules, Stepper motor, ATMEGA Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry pi
• Sublimation Machine – Merchandise and product-finish prototyping.

Current Usage / Active Programmes

• Product Prototyping & Fabrication – Supports 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining and PCB prototyping for student and faculty projects across departments.
• Student Innovation Projects – Hosts interdisciplinary UG/PG project work spanning embedded systems, IoT, robotics and mechanical design.
• Industry Collaboration & Startup Mentoring – Facilitates industry-linked prototyping assignments and mentor’s student startups through ideation to working prototype.
• Patent Filing Support – Assists students and faculty in translating prototypes into filed patent applications (7 patents filed to date).
• Skill Workshops & Dept-wise Trainings – Conducted a Two-Day Training Programme for First-Year Students (all departments), reaching 600 participants (27 Jan – 02 Apr 2026), alongside department-wise IDEA Lab orientation sessions.
• Research Activities – Supports research culminating in student and faculty publications arising from Lab-based prototyping and experimentation (5 publications to date), alongside 50 projects developed and 10 industry collaborations in 2025–2026.
