Faculty Development Program (FDP)
Title: MATLAB Training Program by MathWorks
Date: 19.05.2025 to 22.05.2025
Faculty members from various departments of the institution participated in a MATLAB Training Program organized by MathWorks from 19th May 2025 to 22nd May 2025.
The program was conducted at the MathWorks Office, Embassy Tech Village, Outer Ring Road, Bengaluru, providing faculty members with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advanced computational tools and simulation technologies.
The training program focused on strengthening faculty expertise in numerical computing, modeling, simulation, and artificial intelligence using MATLAB and Simulink. The sessions were designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills to enhance teaching, research, and project development in engineering and technology domains.
The four-day program covered the following modules:
- Day 1 (19th May 2025): MATLAB Fundamentals – Introduction to MATLAB environment, basic programming concepts, data visualization, and numerical computation techniques.
- Day 2 (20th May 2025): Artificial Intelligence with MATLAB – Concepts of AI, machine learning workflows, and practical implementation using MATLAB tools.
- Day 3 (21st May 2025): Simulink Fundamentals – Basics of simulation, model-based design, and system modeling using Simulink.
- Day 4 (22nd May 2025): Modeling and Control of Power Electronics Elements using Simscape Electrical – Simulation and control of power electronic components using Simscape Electrical.
