ANTI DRUG CLUB

The Anti-Drug Club has been established to promote a drug-free environment by raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encouraging a drug-free lifestyle among students.

Objectives:

  1. Education: Increase awareness about the risks and consequences of drug abuse through educational programs.
  2. Prevention: Implement strategies and initiatives to prevent drug abuse and encourage healthy choices.
  3. Support: Provide support and resources for students affected by drug abuse or addiction.

Responsibilities of the Anti-Drug Club:

  1. Organize Awareness Campaigns: Plan and execute campus-wide campaigns and events to educate students about drug prevention and promote drug-free behaviour.
  2. Implement Preventive Strategies: Develop and promote initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyle choices, such as fitness activities, stress management workshops and social events.
  3. Monitor Campus Environment: Regularly assess areas of concern on campus to identify potential drug abuse issues and address them proactively.
  4. Document Incidents: Record and report any drug-related incidents or concerns to the appropriate campus authorities for timely intervention.

Events Organized

Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 3.0

 

The NSS team conducted the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 3.0 with the theme “No Tobacco and No Drugs” to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and drug abuse. The event, held online on 29th October 2025, included quiz, essay writing, and poster competitions, engaging around 470 students who showed great enthusiasm and creativity.
An awareness program on “No Tobacco and No Drugs” was organized on 31st October 2025, Dr. Dhanasekaran, Dean -IR, presided over the function and encouraged students to lead healthy, responsible lives. Resource person Mrs. Subhangi Selvakumar, Advocate, Hosur, addressed the gathering and emphasized self-discipline and awareness in building a drug-free youth community. Certificates were distributed to the winners in recognition of their active involvement.
The campaign was impactful and informative, helping students understand the ill effects of tobacco and drugs. It fostered positive behavioral changes and strengthened their commitment to promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

NO TOBACCO NO DRUGS RALLY

 

A rally to raise awareness against tobacco and drug use was jointly organized by La Clarencia and Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur. The event saw the participation of 50 NSS volunteers from the college on 06.10.2024
